Each of these profiles has different objectives, which depend on the client's objectives. Below is a brief explanation and under what conditions each of them is recommended;
Coach (trainer)
It seeks to make the client aware of the situations they are experiencing so that they develop clarity and their own “path.” The coach does not seek to directly solve a problem or indicate what actions to follow, but rather questions, stimulates and investigates so that the client reflects and discovers the answer for himself. The advantage is that the vision created is supported by the client's values and principles; “conviction and commitment.” The disadvantage is that the client might not execute the idea, plan or solutions in the best way since he does not have solid experience.

Mentor
It serves as a guide or counsellor, sharing knowledge and experience, with the ultimate goal of the client assimilating what's best for his interests. Ideally it is a long-term relationship, where the client can come to ask questions or seek advice in certain situations. The analogy is, as if the mentor were an older brother, who supports with experience for better decision making.

Consultant
It is a guide that induces action, recommends how things can be done, based on its experience. It is an “immediate” solution for specific symptoms, investigating alongside the client to elucidate the causes of a certain problem. Its differentiator is that it has experience in similar situations and knows the best path to follow, reducing the probability of failure of the solution to be implemented. The disadvantage is that, if the client does not have conviction and commitment to follow up on the actions taken, it is possible that problems will resurface in the future.
